DEVELOPING PIDGIN LANGUAGE AS NATIONAL LANGUAGE FOR NIGERIA

Abstract

The need for Nigeria as a country to have Pidgin Language as a National Language of her own has become very imperative. This National Language will go a long way in bringing the much needed Unity in Nigeria. The National Language will also address issues like peaceful co-existence of Nigerians, speed up Economic, Political and Educational growth and development, take care of crime and terrorism, and also help in the advancement of the much talked about technology. If Nigeria must advance like some of these highly developed and technologically advanced countries like Japan, Germany, France, China, United Kingdom, India, which have their own National Language, then, there should be no further delays in the adoption of Pidgin Language, as the National Language for Nigeria
